this picture is so good...lovely colours, composition and textures, wow...
does it really smell of soap? carbolic or imperial leather?

Jigalong says:

Hi Paintist. Never heard of carbolic, and it depends on how old the soap is whether it smell like lizard guts.

Thanks for the compliments. I thought it was time for a change from flowers.

paintist says:

carbolic is the sort of soap grandmas used to use for laundry...old fashioned vets use...looks like this

The school took the truck out (you can see this in the background) with some of the community people and went hunting (learning cultural) with the kids. At the end of afternoon they had caught two goannas. You might recognise the woman in the picture, as she is from Canada too.

Me, I was more interested bush tucker plants.

well she looks like she could play hockey, but no I don't know her. My best regards to her.

bush tucker plants. I'm interested in that too. Uses of native plants here is one of my interests. Big drug companies are looking at this too. Taxol, an anticancer drug was developed from a Pacific yew--saves lives, cuts down old growth forest...kills off other species...and so it goes.
