Mat; yup, but they glow much brighter under certain wavelengths.

This is way brighter than normal because she managed to recover so much protein off the column (no double entendres please!)

The fluorophores come from a deep-sea jellyfish, and are quite useful in labelling stuff in microscopy like this.
