A road with snakes

Out of the top ten most deadly land snakes in the world, Australia has eleven of them. I am pretty certain that this wasnt the inland taipan snake, which can kill within 5 minutes of the being bitten.

I am hoping that someone with an interest in snakes could help us on the ID

Thanks Boet. The two snakes do look very similar.

Dead right. The info that I have read since, indicates that only a couple of people each year are killed by these snakes. I think that this may be the last time a take a picture of a snake like this one

Someone in NSW made a fatal error in judgement today, when he decided to pick up what he thought was a lizard. The Death Adder gave him 5 bites.
