This is my personal blog, not a venue for saleable images. In fact, because it's here that I share things that are important to me with the members of the moblog community, photo quality's not my priority. Events, occasions, achievements, thoughts, trips and experiments - you'll find them all here. Contact me for the development version of my photo portfolio, for a selection of saleable images or visit my dance photography blog or my website for cuttings. And remember that all photos remain my copyright unless I've specifically said otherwise.

"Give, give, give -- what is the point of having experience, knowledge or talent if I don't give it away? Of having stories if I don't tell them to others? Of having wealth if I don't share it? I don't intend to be cremated with any of it! It is in giving that I connect with others, with the world and with the divine."

"The grand show is enternal. It is always sunrise somewhere; the dew is never dried all at once; a shower is forever falling; vapour is ever rising. Eternal sunrise, eternal dawn and gloaming, on sea and continents and islands, each in its turn, as the round earth rolls."

Been counting visitors since some time in August 2008
so much so that you didn't even bother to watch Bullet Proof Monk...
thanks, but they're still not looking like I want

The secret of macro photography is . . . . . . .
(shhh, keep this to yourself)
. . . . . get really, really close.
(no need to thank me)
;-)
I wish it was that easy.
although I suspect that part of the secret is not worrying about what the neighbours think when they open their front door to find you you flat on your stomach on the dirty concrete pointing your phone at something they can't see ...
Thank you Daz, but it's seriously still not coming out the way I want
Maybe if you kept the grasshopper in a jam jar, you could over time train it to pose for you so you get the pictures you want from it?
Just a thought
There is something a bit odd about SonyE macros - I can leave phone & subject in exactly the same place & get really different results on two successive frames... I think it's like Lomo - just have to accept a certain degree of randomness... :)
a relief to hear that hildegard, but I'm getting it changed on Tuesday anyway (to another k800i) because I'm fed up with losing so many shots that the phone tells me it has saved
We say yah, boo & sucks to shoddy software. :( Fibbing about saving is a randomness too far...
Love the first shot.
My k750 looses photos too. I think for me it started happening when I bought a 1gig memory card. It's really irritating. Hope the problem's ironed out in the new phone!
So do I. It won't be that for me yet, because I'm still waiting for the mem card. Not complaining though, Vodafone has been quite satisfactory with the compensation so far...
