My Pet Hate:
is TUESDAY, everything that has ever gone wrong in my life has happened on a TUESDAY! I hate it, it's now my day off so that i don't have to face the world! Don't make me have to suffer TUESDAY by asking me about it!!! I also dislike girls who drink pints, smoke and generally act like men!!

The D70s is the model above, and therefore has slightly more features, more ISO range, 1 shot per second more on continuous, and a slightly larger screen....among others. I was considering the D70s when I bought my D50, and the very nice gentleman in the shop convinced me that the D50 was better value for money, what you gain on the D70s isn't really worth the extra expense...or at least it wasn't at the price I paid.
how is it for getting lenses... are you restricted to Nikon only? and what mount should i look for?
Both are the same lens mount.
No I have a Tamron zoom lens for mine, it uses a standard nikon mount.
maybe wait, Nikon comes with the D80 in September.
hmmm, pric£y!
why always the nikons on moblog? i love my canon. :)
I much prefer Canon over Nikon..
i have the Nikon D50 too. not to say that Canon doesn't have good pedigree, but from the reviews i read, the D50 edged out the Canon equivalent (350D?) for the price.
D80 is a D200 in a plastic box and a few hundred quid cheaper. For Nikon advice, see Ken Rockwell's exhaustive Nikon pages. The man knows what he's talking about, and is well worth paying attention to. You're going to have to wait a bit for a D80 though, so if you want something nowish, get a D50. D70 is a waste of money.
Summary: D80 > D50 > D70
Whatya gonna do, boy?
I have a NIKON F80 35mm camera. I want to buy a new digital model, question is - Can I use the two lenses I bought with the F80 on a digital body?
