Spectacular road. I'll post more from my return journey later. For more info see here. In the winter the road is called 'White Death' because of the frequent avalanches. These are managed by the military which using 105mm Howitzer cannons to make "controlled" avalanches when the risk is high.This is a scale model at the visitor centre.
