More about GoodBooks:

GoodBooks formed in January 2005. The music is nimble and fresh, with influences ranging from Kraftwerk to Pulp to Hot Chip. The strong vocal harmonies and quirky synth lines polish up a sound that the band call quite simply "us" - The Times helpfully called it "literate, avowedly untutored clatter".

Their self-released EP 'Valves & Robots' created a penguin stir among all who heard it, and has now sold out. Supporting Art Brut in August was followed just a few weeks later by a support for the Magic Numbers in Gothenburg, Sweden, at the request of the Magic Numbers themselves.

After a barrage of press and radio at the start of 2006, début indie single ‘Walk With Me’ was released on the 3rd of April as a one-off on London’s Transgressive Records. A UK followed with dates in April, taking the live show well and truly outside the M25.

The band have since signed to Columbia Records and are writing and recording material towards their debut album.

Hello, as promised onstage at Truck last month, here is a nice Free download track, Turn It Back. It might be on the album, and it might not - but it's certainly available for you to download now. We wanted to give you something to be going on with before the first full single towards the end of the year, so here it is - feel free to to spread the news to your friends.

Hopefully we'll see many of you at Stoke, Birmingham, Reading/Leeds, and then more in September, before we do another full-length onslaught of the touring circuit in October. For now we're keeping busy in the studio (in Austria?!) currently recording The Curse of Saul.

So, here it is, Turn It Back, recorded at RAK 2 in London, produced by Dan Grech-Marguerat.
