Hello and welcome to my moblog. Here are lots of random images from my life at home on the Isle of Lewis and out and about.

The photos are mostly taken with my iPhone 3GS, but I'll also be posting some from my Nikon D80.

You can see more of my photography at my website 58 North Photography.

Thanks, they were with my Nikon F75. But just got myself a new scanner, so have been scanning negs in all weekend.

aha! i have some questions for you then. what scanner did you get, was it specificially for neg-scanning, and how do you convert back to a normal image? (i assume you use the invert command in PS, but other than this, i do not know)

Rachel says:

It's an Epson 4490 Photo, a flatbed but with a built in film adapter.

It does 12 35mm negs at a time (I used to have a dedicated film scanner that only did one at once - very tedious!) and the software it comes with seperates them all out into individual images and does all the conversions for you, which is nice.

It's very easy to use and I'm really pleased with it so far.

Amazon was about the cheapest place, although I did have a £100 voucher to put to it, so it was really cheap for me...
