Glad you had some rain, Paintist. I hope the flooding didn't do any damage. Silar31, I did think of tornadoes when I saw the approaching sky and felt the downbursts. There may have been a small one. I was timing the gap between the lightning and thunder: the centre of the storm never came closer than about a mile and a half from where I was standing.

it was pretty torrential in leeds for part of yesterday too. there kids in the next garden to us who screamed their little socks off when they heard the thunder!
