I helped my friend Anton assemble a 10 cu. ft. trailer for his lawn
tractor... Fun, huh?! It was a bit of a pain, since the manufacturer
decided to replace all the nuts included in the kit with a different type
than what was in the original design for the tractor. It was not a problem
everywhere, and probably an improvement in many places, but there were a
couple places where the design called for a non-locking nut, just a normal
hex nut, to hold a lever in place at the middle of a bolt which acted as a
hinge pin. We had to force a locking nut on backwards and add washers to
make it work properly. The axle was also a bit too long, and we needed to
add washers there, too. The finished product looks like it will perform
well hauling cut logs from the fallen and dead trees on his property.
