Cutting and one side hemmed completed (one with flash and one without...oops!). Fabric is hard to measure out b/c it keeps moving! But the process is still fun so I guess that's the most important thing.

I can sew too! and knit! and crochet! My mum taught me as a kid. She said I should be able to do all these things because you never know if you'll end up on your own (taught me to cook as well). How right she was. Only problem is, when my wife & I seperated, she took the new sewing machine. Oh well, time to find the thimbles I guess.... More people should knit - there'd be less wars, but it's difficult to convince the world of that if you are a 6' bloke... Anyway - well done you. Curtains next?

I can just barely sew and must be supervised closely but it's fun learning :) Your mom made sure you can take care of yourself, go mom! Can you do laundry too? ;)

Knitting as a solution for war...hmmm, I think they would fight with their knitting needles but I'm cynical that way. Btw, I have a 6'5" friend who knits too :)

Oh and no curtains, too domestic!! *laughs* I'll probably make a chemise after the apron.

I made some "Dungarees" for my 2 year old son, years ago, Got the pattern and all the material on the Friday and cut it out to size.
Saturday was spent carefully sewing all the pieces together, it was very complicated, different materials, metal fasteners, linings, but I finished it! (just in time, before I lost interest)
Twelve years later, I'd love to still have it but my ex-wife threw it away.
