muddy, but great fun! And I found out all about keeping chickens! So I

Those chickens could feature in some sort of cheesy "before and after" ad campaign :D

not quite free eggs, as you need to feed the little bugger get hay for them to sleep on a hut for them to sleep in, oh it mounts up but they are sooo much good fun to keep, they will follow you around like a dog if you let them, they used to breack in to our house and terrorise the dogs!

(by the way we used to have chickens)

I've worked it out that it will cost about the same to keep chickens for two years as it would to buy all the eggs... and hey, you get to have chickens mooching about!

paintist says:

Lovely shot of the pigeon and the little bantam......
Chickens are very very nice....and if you get more than 3 you will be begging people to take the eggs away....no-one can eat that many eggs...

seaneeboy says:

Hehe - we wouldn't have room for more than two anyway... I frikkin love eggs though. Speshly now I have my ice cream machine.

Perhaps I could be the first free range organic egg seller on moblog!

i think two is a good number, we had three to start off with ant that was a family of four and as P says it was hard the use the eggs up. i think we gave them away to people who fed them when we went on holiday isnt that right p?

You can't really put a price on the highest possible quality, free-range eggs.

If you do get chickens, I'll turn green.

BEWARE BIRD FLU!!!!!

seaneeboy says:

Ruthie - Tempted, I do like them, but there's a local bloke who sells custom made ones a bit cheeper (sorry) and gives loads of extra advice and help with them too... not, from what I can tell, they need a huge amount of time after you set 'em up, just enough so they don't get lonely :)

seaneeboy says:

Geodyne - I know! I got some at this show and they are magnificent. yumyumyum.

The truth - Yes, that might put a dampner on it all, but lets think positively, eh?
