I had some real problems getting used to the difference between CRT and LCD. Getting the contrast and colour right on photos is hard!

I've spent all day sitting in front of it writing and I quickly forgot it was there (in other words it worked well), which, to me, is the best endorsement :) It's fast to refresh, it has good saturation, it's bright and I haven't noticed any viewing angle issues. It is also about 1" bigger diagonally than my old 19" CRT, which is nice.

Oh I know exactly the amount of mess and dust you're on about. I've only had my TFT for about a year. I still remember the bunnies that got loose when I moved my CRT.
