It's a real shame the Glasgow Tower's still not working properly, because it's a pretty damn cool structure. The whole tower rotates so that it faces into the wind to have lower wind resistance - all 127 metres of it.
I'd never actually been eagle-eyed enough to spot it changing direction before, but the whole thing moved by a couple of degrees while I was standing on it - the rubber seal in the last picture marks the end of the bit that moves. Damn clever engineers.
Unfortunately the lifts don't work, so you can't enjoy the view from the top.
