Hurrah! And Vodafone have told me that I haven't been charged for the missing messages. Time to resend them :)

Euphro says:

Are you saying, Miss FP, that you don't pay for MMS?

*waves* Hi!

Euphro says:

Hi M! *waves back* :D

21st Apr 2006, 16:12

bronxelf says:

Same here. I don't pay extra for it either-- it's included in my cell package.

21st Apr 2006, 16:18

Euphro says:

I pay anything between 50 and 100 UK pounds per month, depending on my usage, but it's usually of the order of 60 UK pounds, which is about $100, I guess.

21st Apr 2006, 16:32

bronxelf says:

More than that. That's high. Exchange is closer to 2.5 on the dollar. Closer to $120, I'd think. for that kind of cash you'd generally have unlimited natiomal service.

21st Apr 2006, 16:33

Euphro says:

I buy a package (for 14 UK pounds) that pays for about 80 MMS messages. Any above that in a month are charged at 30 pence each. I usually go over (which suggests to me that I should be buying a bigger bundle of cheap messages) :D

21st Apr 2006, 16:39

Euphro says:

Funny you should suggest that. I've just been looking at that sort of options pack :)

21st Apr 2006, 16:43

nige 2.0 says:

definately. email is the way, i reckon. i think we're on the cusp of the NO's offering cheaper data though...which is nice.

21st Apr 2006, 16:44

Euphro says:

I've just checked and my option pack equates to 13 MB of data a month, which adds up to a lot more e-mails than MMS messages :)

21st Apr 2006, 16:48

nige 2.0 says:

yay! you have email set up on your phone?

21st Apr 2006, 16:49

Euphro says:

Yes, just got it working this afternoon (hence this post ) :D

21st Apr 2006, 16:50

nige 2.0 says:

aha - i am, indeed, an idiot :P

glad you've got it working anyway...

*goes back into his corner*

21st Apr 2006, 16:54

bronxelf says:

Oh good! Because if you *email* me from your phone I can actually reply. :D

21st Apr 2006, 16:55

nige 2.0 says:

nige 2.0 says:

your new camphone turned up today, seaneeboy? mint.

21st Apr 2006, 17:03

bronxelf says:

Nige- the problem right now is I can *get* MMS from Europe, but in order to reply I have to change my cell phone package. However email is no problem. :)

21st Apr 2006, 17:05

nige 2.0 says:

ah, thats not good. i never use mms anyway - it's just way too expensive in the UK - but for those without email on their phones (or if slightly less technically minded) its the only option. email is the way, for sure.

21st Apr 2006, 17:08

Euphro says:

Ah, Bronxelf, I didn't realise that. We must try it out :)

21st Apr 2006, 20:00

bronxelf says:

Well something has changed, cause Geo sent me a txt message a few hours ago, and I replied and *she actually got the reply!*
