ookiine says:

Will it go to the year 5 Billion AD?

Joe says:

nice, do they fit about 4 tonnes of sweets inside somehow?

14th Apr 2006, 19:09

neel says:

Er, unfortunately not: it's just an egg (with, I'm assuming, the traditional micron-thin chocolate) and some chocolate disc-things.

You're paying for the packaging with this one.

paintist says: off

14th Apr 2006, 19:16

neel says:

paintist: this is a genyouwine BBC/Marks&Spencer; novelty chocolate "holiday" egg, I'll have you know.

I wonder if the set designer got a cut of the royalties...

paws_mcgraw says:

oh, WOW. Present or self-treat?

Incidentally, *tonight!*

The train Angela arrived on had a big plaque proclaiming it to be the 'Dr Who'. In all the excitement of seeing her, forgot to snap it... dang.

Steve says:

Vague feelings of envy...

15th Apr 2006, 16:22

neel says:

'Twas from the parents.

I've been on the "Dr Who" - some of them are much less excitingly named.

I have sucessfully avoided trailers, teasers and rampant spoilers for tonight's second-season opener. Hahah!

Steve says:

Then you won't want to know about the cyberman invasion then

15th Apr 2006, 16:32

Steve says:

Only kidding, I have avoided spoilers too.

Really looking forward to it, in fact must leave for brighton so that I can get there in time to watch it.

15th Apr 2006, 16:32

neel says:

Oh dear.

Somebody would've been in so much trouble...

Why does everything these days have to be spoiled before we're allowed to even watch it?

15th Apr 2006, 16:45

Helen says:

Oh. Just look at that.

Helen says:

It must be impossible to eat a TARDIS egg.

15th Apr 2006, 19:05

neel says:

Rich: [tick!]

Helen: I'm having a particular problem with the Zero Room.

15th Apr 2006, 20:00

Twiglet says:

Neel: Thanks to this picture we were able to hot foot it down to our nearest M&S; yesterday in order to get one Dr Who mad little girl her own Tardis!

You should've seen her face this morning
*Mummy, the Easter bunny has brought me a Tardis!*

Packaging rip off or not, it was well worth it, thanks!

16th Apr 2006, 08:27

Rich says:

Tear the packaging! She'll regret that later when she's trying to complete her collection.

16th Apr 2006, 08:28

Twiglet says:

I would not a abuse a Dr Who product. The hour she spent watching it last night was the longest she's been quiet since the Christmas day special!

16th Apr 2006, 08:32

neel says:

Ah - the power of the internets!

Just don't let her near any cats for a while.

16th Apr 2006, 11:50

Helen says:

Maybe M&S; will still have them on Tuesday?

16th Apr 2006, 12:52

neel says:

That's a good question, and I've got no idea.

Two words: discount chocolate.

16th Apr 2006, 13:07

kyoob says:

Chis has one of these too! link

16th Apr 2006, 14:05

Helen says:

I found this on eBay.

(Are Billie Piper and David Tennant hiding somewhere inside this one?)

It's not really the chocolate that matters in this case. Well it matters, in that it has to be there, but beyond that...

16th Apr 2006, 14:14

neel says:

That one is 20 years old.

Dave and Billie weren't in this one. Or, if they were, they're now in my tummy.

16th Apr 2006, 20:09

Helen says:

I was a bit disappointed that someone has obviously eaten the egg. Makes it a bit incomplete. They could have kept the foil. I suppose eBay may have rules about selling goods that are past their sell-by.

You could always make your own David and Billie. Cut up a few magazines... one way to make a Bank Holiday pass by.

I found that M&S; also did a Dalek this year. I do hope that they have a jellified-lumpy-mass with tentacles inside, rather than a chocolate egg. Perhaps strawberry flavour.
