poor dido she looks so sorry for herself :( i think you may need to take it off when you feed her or something like that

You may have to help her by giving her food with a spoon for a bit, and taking the e-collar off regularly so she can drink under careful supervision. Make her water more appealing to her by adding some no-salt chicken broth so she'll drink when you want her to. Poor little thing, what happened to her eye?

the cat scratched her eye very badly......thanks for the tips, she is off her food at the moment and they will be useful

I imagine she's off her food, indeed. I'd give her canned (soft) food for a bit if she usually takes dry, it will be easier for her to chew and not having to bite down hard on it will be less painful. Also, after all this is healed, you might consider getting her doggles to protect her eyes - www.doggles.com. - actually, wonder if she could use them even now, rather than having to wear the e-collar all the time. You could ask the vet.

chicken broth good idea,she has taken a couple of spoonfuls...goggles would be better as she keeps catching the collar on everything........
