They start closing checkouts before they start to announce that the
store is about to close, so that by the time you get there, the
remaining checkouts all have very large queues.Their professionally produced signs are another selling point.

Rule #1 of sign making: make sure the person making the sign can spell the words that need to go on it :)

Time to vote with your feet Tef. I know it's cheap, but surely it's time to find someone else for your hard-earned..

That pic coupled with the tea-avalanche post previously & Morrisons is starting to look a very entertaining shopping experience. Who would have thought??

Every day's a fun day at Morrison's!

I just went to return something that I'd bought last night (a cake tin that was too small), and the woman at the customer service desk seemed largely unaware of the concept of such a thing.

neko: I would have gone to Sainsbury's (the one at Harringay is open 24h), but that would have required a bus journey, and the Morrison's is just across the road. Every time I go in hope of finding one of their three useful members of staff...

Oh, and I've just checked - there's a Lidl at Tottenham Hale, about 25 minutes away on the tube.

Morrisons isn't particularly cheap, in my opinion.

That said - Somerfield in Kensington had rotting tomatoes for sale yesterday!
