I was kinda hoping i'd be able to catch the eclipse with my phone, which didn't work - but i rather like the resulting picture anyway

Euphro says:

It was cloudy here all through, up to this moment (12.20) - the official end of the eclipse here was 12.21. Eclipse weather?

Geodyne says:

Wow, that's lovely.

You know, I don't think I have ever experienced an eclipse when the weather wasn't cloudy. It must be eclipse weather, Euphro.

Euphro says:

Yes, that happened to me in Austria in '99 too - it clouded in at the moment of totality and for about 20 minutes afterwards. Very frustrating. On the other hand, I watched it on-line on NasaSelect TV from Turkey and it was clear there.

Twiglet says:

I had a very good view of what was a total eclipse a few years ago. There was only totality in Cornwall tho' and as I was in London it was only partial.

Like Euphro, not much to be seen today!

Monolith says:

In 1999, I was on holiday in London, on the day of the eclipse (I think it was Cornwall, wher you could see it best) however in London it was 90% eclipsed.
I was in Hyde Park watching it. Just as the partial eclipse occured, 3 italian students began to sing O sole Mio.

I thought that was rather lovely
