Okay, so in my mind I'm doing this because I want the house to be more presentable for potential BUYERS.
However, seeing as how we're going to be living here for 3-5 more years -- I might as well make it look lush and green and beautiful. So over the next few days I'm going to be landscaping the beds that lay around the front perimeter of the house. Our soil here is pretty dry for the first 3-6 inches down before there's any moisture, I'm mostly displeased with that sandy, dirty groundcover that lays in most of the beds. The shrubs are dead, the evergreen creeping plants in the middle section are disgusting, and the larrioppe may be the only thing I like -- they look like little green fireworks going off -- those small plants around the edge fountain-shaped.
I want to do something special around the window, mainly we just need a good luscious looking hedge and some tropical plants to highlight the edges -- I'm thinking.. Red Sister Ti, Florida Gamma Grass, Sanchezia -- who knows.. anyone have any suggestions?
