I use too many pens.

All my work is done in about 8 different coloured pens. This helps me to clarify things. For instance, I do objections and counterexamples in pink or orange, and the views of the main philosopher I'm studying at the time in green.

It gets a bit messy sometimes though, I take ages to pack my stuff up.

He he, that's brilliant. I've always been a fan of having several different highlighter pens to brighten things up, but I think you've taken things to the next level!

I even take rough notes in that way. I first did it with revision stuff a few years back and it worked really well. It means I tend to rattle around a bit in lectures though.
