did you enjoy it? two of my housemates went along - one said she was a bit disappointed and thought they could have been a bit more inventive in how they used the exhibits with the animation.

(as i didn't go along myself, i'm not exactly sure what she meant...)

I only found out that many of the works were commissioned specially for the evening and the location after the fact, so that wasn't a big thing for me. The two are really kind of at odds in a way, worlds apart in terms of artistic sensibilities. That said, the Japanese animation (top here) was in the Japan room, and bore a significant resemblance to the beautiful kimonos therein.

The top two pictures are of an animation projected on the end of the cabinet with the swords in!
