Well, the PCR machine here is too useless to accept plates, so the sticky things have been on a shelf for 5 years.

Dhamaka> PCR is a scientists version of gambling. It's a technique that, if on the off chance it decides to work, can amplify a portion of DNA, which you can then analyse (it's what the CSI people do when they do genetic fingerprinting). Most of the time, it's an entire days work down the pan.
