Sh*t. Sorry to hear that - there are some free tools you can use to recover files from a memorystick if you've wiped the pictures from your phone.
i bet you used strong language, such as botheration, or even damn and blast
Thanks :o)
I believe botheration and balderdash were part of my colourful expletives that evening.
Crickson> The pictures are wiped from the phone; are there tools to recover them from the memory card? Any idea where I download them from? I was more pissed off with losing my photos than I was about going through the rigmarole of re-installing everything I've got! There was a huge downpour, and I had some great rainy-zen garden photos.
To add insult to injury, I still can't bloody install catalyst.
Yes you can recover the files so long as you havent saved anything over them. I was looking for recovery tools a while ago after I stupidly deleted something from my external HD. Several seemed to be free, although you might have to buy the software if you want to access the recovered files. It's worth checking out, and you certainly wouldn't have to buy something if it doesn't recover the pictures. Several seemed memorystick-specific.
I'm really sorry Rare. Went through something similar before Christmas. Like you I lost my hard drive, unlike you I had a backup laptop. What I hadn't expected was that my backed up email files were bigger than the (very) old laptop hard drive.. I empathise with you and hope that you retrieve your photos - and that we get to see them!
Thanks everyone. And thanks Crickson; I managed to find a free file recover software. I'm so happy with it I'm going to mercilessly advertise it on my moblog sidebar!
