We went up the mountain on a cloudy day, which was
just as well because i was burning even with my factor
30 on. Oh the joys of being a pale skinned
redhead...It was odd, snow capped mountain tops for
lunch and warm sunny beaches for tea.

I went to Chicago for a while once and found it really strange that you could be on a little beach and just be 5 minutes on the bus from skyscrapers. You've got the water in front of you and Sears tower and the John Hancock building towering behind you.

Looks really lovely, how long were you there for?

It was odd, walking around in the snow and ice, then heading down the road a few minutes and sipping tea in hot sunshine. A couple of weeks before we went, they had to close the roads up top because there was so much ice - some sort of record for the area i believe.
