OJ says:

Um, again, thank you.

The world did seem to have gone all gothic. And I'd be worried if you didn't find the giant mummy like figures just a wee bit unsettling....

23rd Nov 2005, 16:04

good lord that top one is excellent! i'm not even sure why, it's just very aesthetically pleasing!

23rd Nov 2005, 16:26

OJ says:

Thanks mysocalledmoblog. I know very little about formal composition but I suspect the proportions and the fact that the diagonal line of the terrace and the blurry line of the trees meeting at a vanishing point...all adds up to some mathematically pleasing model.

alexis says:

I love that top one. something about still being able to see the form very well and it being covered, very sad. and the background is just beautiful.

the second one seems to be pointing , this reminds me of a program i used to watch as a child, i think it was called mood dial, at night every thing went all spoky.

OJ says:

Thank you.

Can I admit I'm quite missing the sinister freezing fog? (Though drivers would disagree with me).

I'm sure there's a whole Castle of Otranto style story going on with the bound statues, somewhere...

Spike says:

i really miss it, its just soo spooky, yet comforting, so easy to hide in it, but still the feeling of being watched, i love fog

Blast from the past! So great, I remember these revenants

Oh my goodness I can't believe this has been highlighted 3 years on. If anyone is wondering why - I mentioned it on Interview 52. Is this a record for a gap between posting and highlighting I wonder.

1st May 2009, 15:37

crickson says:

Wow - a slow burner, but well-deserved nonetheless.

1st May 2009, 16:14

Ever since I looked at these this morning, I've had this song running through my head; maybe it's because Jane Doe referred to them as revenants....;=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Elyricszoo%2Ecom%2Fcrooked%2Dstill%2Faint%2Dno%2Dgrave%2F&feature;=player_embedded
