This is my personal blog, not a venue for saleable images. In fact, because it's here that I share things that are important to me with the members of the moblog community, photo quality's not my priority. Events, occasions, achievements, thoughts, trips and experiments - you'll find them all here. Contact me for the development version of my photo portfolio, for a selection of saleable images or visit my dance photography blog or my website for cuttings. And remember that all photos remain my copyright unless I've specifically said otherwise.

"Give, give, give -- what is the point of having experience, knowledge or talent if I don't give it away? Of having stories if I don't tell them to others? Of having wealth if I don't share it? I don't intend to be cremated with any of it! It is in giving that I connect with others, with the world and with the divine."

"The grand show is enternal. It is always sunrise somewhere; the dew is never dried all at once; a shower is forever falling; vapour is ever rising. Eternal sunrise, eternal dawn and gloaming, on sea and continents and islands, each in its turn, as the round earth rolls."
........ John Muir

"The bicycle is the most civilised conveyance known to man. Other forms of transport grow daily more nightmarish. Only the bicycle remains pure in heart."

Thanks Geodyne.

A lady in the car park asked me if was shooting the sky, and she seemed quite upset that I wanted the tree with it *grins*

Lovely pics. :)

Some people just have no patience for image composition - I showed my dad a bunch of my pictures the other day of which I had ordered prints, and he complained about every single one of them. ;) ("Why did you take a picture of half a sunflower? What's that supposed to be?" etc.)

Thanks for the compliment - I laughed out loud when I read that Daz. I can imagine my folks doing that. When I was a *lot* younger I showed them a photo of me in a group in a paper and Mum said "very nice dear, which one's you?"

But some people are more turned on by sounds, or words, or smells...

Oh well, my Mum used to get mad at me for "never taking pictures with PEOPLE in it" in pre-digital times... Now she really can't say anything because digital photography is so cheap. :)

And her favourite motifs are people eating, or the buffet when she's on holiday. I make fun of her a lot for that. :)
