There is a crack in everything

my Flickr photos, where my plants and fungus live
It's my birthday. So I can do what I want. This is me inside a wood burning kiln in Shugaraki, Japan. It was still warm from the last firing. I read and learned about this for many years. To meet the generous Japanese potter and trade stories, understanding was quite wonderful. So this is me being very very happy.
You look ecstatic! Warm kiln, warm smile. How hot does that thing get up to?
Can't login for some reason.
Hiya Nige.
It took me a while to figure out how to get back in...and then post!?? took a while to figure that out too. This kiln would get so hot, white hot, when fired. Now that you're a professional photographer, do you have time to take photos of small things, other things that catch your eye? So good to touch base.xx
I'm hoping I'm logged in...
I don't take photos of the small things these days. I'm always thinking about it, but for some reason it seems so silly and pointless to me, because everyone has these photos on their mobile phones these days. I know that's not true but it's what runs through my head. I was never happier than when I was taking pictures of small things with my phone.
Would love to see more from the Japanese potter. I'm smiling too.
Hiya, as always a great picture of you. Have tried coming back every now and then. Will try and log in.
Just seen this!
Love Swamprose!
I think it's time to come back to moblog and push for a website refurbishment, after the Instagram hangover. And I'm not alone.
