Thank you for all the survey responses so far. We already have 41 responses
to the survey in less than 24 hours. Thank you for spending the time on it.

If you haven’t seen the survey yet, or had a chance to fill it out, please
copy and paste this link into your browser and also feel free to share it
with anyone you know:

It should only take 3 minutes and the answers are completely anonymous
unless you leave your email in the final section (feel free to leave a
comment in that section too if you would like).

The questions are intended to be hypothetical and focus on two main

- user behavior around subscriptions
- what your current sense is about it's future potential

Right now, I am trying to explore what the right questions to ask are.
These may well be the wrong ones, but I need some quantitative data to
discuss the project with advisors. I'm actively trying to solicit feedback
from many different areas beyond Moblog to compare and contrast opinions.

None of the questions reflect any decisions made or paths pending. Simply
gathering data that may provide a new perspective on what is possible.
Nonetheless, I'm wary of raising any expectations and see this as the first
step in an extended investigation. To that end, I intend to do another
survey soon that looks for more qualitative feedback from the community
rather than quantitative.

This evening I am presenting to a group of advisors and telling them the
whole story of the site, such that it can make a break from the past and
find a radical new direction.

I apologize for the formality of all this. I do not want to send confused
signals at this time, under the circumstance, but it is also a confusing
time too.

We're all present to the need to respond to the events which have
reverberated around community this year. It's a matter of finding some
voice. Sometimes we must express our emotions through feeling. Sometimes
through action.

It's okay to muddle through.
