Here's some shots from Padak. The 'cage' is where we eat, meet etc. The tents are our mossy domes to guard against all things crawly - although we shared the room with bats...

This place is a little oasis for pilots and others flying into Sudan etc. The can of doom was handy for taking out perhaps the largest cockroach I'd seen in sometime... The toukal (hut) was my (rather hot!) home for the night.

Whilst discussing the state of the loo at Lokichoggio, Rebecca who we were travelling with produced this contraption. It's a plastic bag filled with some kind of crystals that you can pee into... Really - She claims to have seen it on top gear. Nobody was prepared to road test it though...

Here's Lokichoggio Airport! This is in Northern Kenya and is the stopping point before Sudan The UN base is also here called "operation lifeline sudan".
