Today I was out all day photographing native plants. I did not find the elusive skunk cabbage, but I found lots of other things. I hope the giant slab is a bee house. it had holes in the bottom for ventilation.
I am out tramping around looking for a plant called skunk cabbage because it has this amazing ability to melt the snow. This snowsoul is miles from anywhere, and it took me a long time to walk along the road and figure out what it was.
and they are taking their sad carrot noses with them.
The angle of the sun has changed, and it's warmer. oh yes.

In the greenhouse, under the table, behind the plastic, they are growing mushrooms. I am on my knees (why did I wear the jeans with the hole in the knee) and it's wet.
can we grow these in our basements?
did I say how much I like mushroom design?
I am hibernating. and working. but when I come up, this is my world.
going back to sleep now. hope all is well.
