Back home, again.

First I got home from my trip. Then I ate dinner with the family.
Then I drove akp to the airport and sent him away for two weeks. Now
I am home again.

The three furry critters that actually like me don't want to be more
than a few inches from me. They are all right by me as a type this.

They did not all fit in the photo however, and we causing all sort of
fuss and bother and bad animal breath as I tried to snap the photo. I
finally decided on this one with Indy offering me a paw to shake.

Lots to catch up on.

Feeling seriously out of whack.

Hey big spender.

I have to be sneaky. Security is not happy if you use a camera
on the casino floor. I have been scolded twice.

Holiday ends tomorrow, and home I shall go. Has been a nice change of pace. Spamalot last night was a lot of fun.

Morning face care. Wash and moisturize. Used four layers of
moisturizer. Air here is sucking every drop of moisture from my body.
Drinking tons of water. Using tons of lotion. Still. So. Dry.

Breakfast at noon. Salad. Need coffee. Where is my coffee?

On Holiday. The drive went smoothly. Checked into the hotel. Let the
relaxation begin.

Not taken with my phone cam, obviously.

To see it bigger, clicky.

Feeling better today, but still not completely well. I have a bunch of stuff to catch up on, plus I need to pack because I am leaving on a vacation tomorrow.

I plan to keep up with my own dailymes during the trip, but probably won't be around to check out what the rest of moblog is doing.

I suppose I should stop mucking about with this stuff I don't need to do today, and start on something that has to be finished today.

It is lunch time, but my stomach isn't feeling particularly happy, so perhaps I will skip it.

I am sitting in a local Indian restaurant. They offer a buffet style champagne brunch on Saturday and Sunday. That is to say, they usually do.

Yesterday we came here for brunch. As soon as we pulled into the parking lot, we were shocked. It was unusually busy. As we entered the restaurant, intent on finding out how long the wait (horrors)was going to be, we noticed a sign advertising "Free lunch for Independence Day", but didn't think much of it. I don't tend to keep very aware of what date it is, until I am typing it up for this. We were told it would be a 15 minute wait. We sat down to wait, but I began to notice that nothing looked as usual. Wait a minute... free lunch TODAY?

I went to check out the buffet items and it was a very limited offering compared to what they normally had. It wasn't really what we had in mind, so we decided to leave.

There is such thing as a free lunch, and it turns out, I don't want it.

Today, since we did not get the Indian food we were expecting yesterday, we decided to wander over and pay for brunch instead. It was quiet and peaceful, with few customers in sight.

The food is decent. There are better Indian restaurants if we want to drive farther (in some cases much farther), but I like the variety that the buffet offers, which is difficult to get when you don't have a large party of diners and don't much care for wasting food, or having leftovers. Also, all I can eat saag paneer is a good thing in my book.

Rather than push myself to get work much done today, and risk another crash and burn, I am mainly planning to take it busy. Hmm, I meant "take it easy". Freudian slip much?

Felt a bit better this morning, so I went out for lunch and errand running. However at stop number three I began feeling horrible again, and we had to hurry home. The remainder of the day was spent lazing about on the sofa again.

Watched an old show from the 70's called The Changes.

Got back enough energy to cook dinner, but it didn't turn out as good as I would have liked. Oh well.

I am useless. Feel semi human when I take enough meds. Accomplishing nothing. Napping. Staring at internet. Staring at TV. Ducking phone calls because I am in no condition to talk to anyone.

At the moment kicking back and watching Burn Notice.
