You know you're a moblogger when....

(viewed 1024 times)
...you look up and see something with entirely too many legs and
apparent antennae at both ends (WTF??) about 2 feet away and instead of
flipping out, you dive for the camera :-) Then you capture the
creepycrawlie and take it outside.

ETA 10-07-07: it's a house centipede, Scutigera coleoptrata

Film of Gracie

(viewed 1099 times)
If this works, it will show a short film of Gracie her first day home, right after she found her new rope toy. Mom reports that after a few days rest and recovery from the rigors of a long flight, she has become
a whole lot more energetic than this film might suggest - fortunately she adores the neighborhood "dog crew" so she has playmates to help expend some of her energy.

By the way, does anyone else using Firefox on a Mac (PowerPC, Panther) have trouble seeing films here at MBUK? I find that most of the time I need to pop Safari up to see them. - I don't know what the heck I did but I can see mine, Kozika San's latest, Alfie's latest....latest Firefox update from a few days ago fixed the problem, maybe.

Early preparations

(viewed 1187 times)
Black pillowcases and a waterproof pillow protector for after my sinus
surgery 2 weeks from today. I figured I had better lay in a few
supplies now - as the surgery gets closer I'm likely to get anxious, and
when I'm anxious I forget stuff.

My first Kit Kat blog, I'm so excited. Yes, the original flavor, but
hey, 8 pieces instead of 4!

Dinnerblogging, part 3

(viewed 1024 times)
Drain pasta, put it back in the pan (or a nice bowl if you're going to put in on the table), dump heated sauce mix over it, stir. Stir in some nice
Parmesan or pecorino romano cheese if you like. Ta-da, dinner. We both
liked it a lot, the texture of the soy was very nice - reminiscent of
making the same dish with ground lean turkey. However, less garlic and
onions next time - the stuff I added on top of what was in the sauce
tasted wonderful, but I had rotten heartburn from it. Or, maybe I'll
just hit the Maalox right off after dinner.

Dinnerblogging, Part 2

After the soy is warmed up and mixed in well with the garlic and onions,
dump in the jar of sauce. Let it all heat together for a bit.
Meanwhile, cook the pasta. If you need me to tell you how to cook boxed
pasta, you need more help in the kitchen than I can give.
