Equipment of a different sort

New handmade tatting shuttles from Poland - these are very very hard to
come by in the US so when an opportunity arose to get 2 I grabbed
quick. I made the little heart to show the lovely Polish lady who made
them available. I may just mail it to her. ;)

14E5s - Propet Stabilty Walkers. Ordered from Zappos.com Monday
afternoon and they were here by yesterday afternoon at 4:00. That's
what you call turnaround time! Unfortunately they do not ship to the
UK (yet) but US and Canada peeps, make a note, Zappos rules. Also, Don
reports that the shoes are all about the rulingness also - they are
actually designed with big, tall men in mind so the whole shoe is
constructed to truly support 200+ lbs of weight and the typical
problems of very tall people - under and over pronation. The sole is
the widest part of the shoe to prevent rolling, and it's quite firm.
Win. Xochizlan, you might want to keep these in mind, although I know
you are all about the Converse - which Zappos carries, by the way.

Fun with movies, Pt 2

Whoever guesses right has to post the next set. :)

Fun with movies Pt. 1 is here

Dental aftereffects

Little JennyB - since she lost almost all of the teeth on her left
side, this is what happens when she relaxes. It's quite possibly the
cutest thing ever, and we just make sure when she wakes up she has some
nice cold water to drink since her tongue gets a bit dry!

DRM = bad, m'kay?

Another, more detailed article is here (clicky).

And, supposedly, it's fixed. I found the comment on the blog entry amusing.

E-mailed her to see how she's getting on, here's the scoop:

"Everything is still blocked at work, and I don't have access from home
anymore. The dialup was so rotten that it didn't justify the cost.

I'm doing ok, I just got over a nasty bout of shingles, and I'm not
feeling 100%. I've got some tests scheduled for next week, so we'll
see what is up.

If you want to post that for me it would be wonderful! I'm trying very
hard to bribe the IT guy (my ex husband actually) to get just moblog
unblocked for me. LiveJournal, TypePad, everything blog is blocked.
Argh.

Thanks for checking in. I appreciate it! I miss you!!"

I'll make a post of all the comments and e-mail her say, Thursday night
or Friday.

Ominous

From earlier this week at my folk's house - we heard thunder and got a
few drops, but Dad, at work 20 minutes north of us, reported a severe
storm with much lightning and utter deluge.
