Dogs. Fiber Arts. Occasional Cats, Trolleys & Trains & Flowers. And other moments from my life that I find interesting.
**Motorola ic902 - Probably the best of the (poor) choices with Nextel for a camera phone.
**Canon Powershot A430 - Oh, how I love thee, let me count the ways....Primary camera - if it a good photo, this took it.

Gainful employment YAY!

(viewed 983 times)
Finally, finally, finally I have a job where I can move ahead, save
some money, afford geek toys*, still save some money, etc. Don't
have start date and such worked out yet (have to line things up with
the leaving OA so she can train me), still have to work out notice on
the realty job (which I will always be grateful for but I am *over*)
but I've officially accepted. Since I haven't actually slept in over
a week for more than 3 hours at a time, I foresee sleeping in a bit
tomorrow, then coming up with a formal letter of notice and
resignation for present job, then (pending no house showings)
relaxing the weekend away.

*1st geek toy to save up for WILL be a camera phone. DH's cell is
dying so it's time to replace them anyway.

Got this little guy yesterday building his web between the side of
the porch and the dog's pen. I have a movie too of his very busy
weaving of his web, but I may have to youtube it - my movie editing
software has gone missing in the packing of this place, which means
it's probably in storage!

Size is important...

2. Size 80 DMC tatting thread (red) vs. size 30 DMC Cebelia

Python moment while doing the grocery list

(viewed 1206 times)
Don was writing the list while I finished up a spot of housework and
when he handed me the list I about fell over laughing. :)

It's ALL his, too. I've had to back off from my attempt at
vegetarianism because with my other food allergies I wasn't getting
enough protein, but I still firmly believe one thing: Meat Should Not
Come From Cans.
