From the ashes (well, dumped boilers, spare tyres, weeds, bushes, trees and general carnage) comes my lovely new garden. Am thinking cricket pitch, or possible golf driving range (shhhh, don't tell my better half...).
Hahaha, it makes me laugh everytime I see it. Laugh? I nearly bought one.
A top quality 30th birthday party for "The Dicko" at the Aldridge Tavern and a quality assortment of fancy dress appearances from much missed celebrities...
Steve (top) is a bit too good as Nuno Bettencourt and James (he of Moblog fame) doing a fabulous Meatloaf (bottom)...
I've just returned home from my most recent trip to Belfast... I've been meaning to explore the old Harland & Wolff shipyard for sometime now... it's in the process of being redeveloped as the "Titanic Quarter" so if you're a bit cheeky, you can drive in to lots of the derelict parts... the bottom one is as close as I could get to the old dry dock where they built Titanic and the top two are Samson and Goliath, the two cranes used to built the ships... It's an amazing area, especially as you fly in to City airport... The history here is everywhere... from the derelict buildings, to the abandoned offices and dry docks... a very sad reminder of this country's industrial heritage and an amazing place to photograph before they go and change everything...
It's taken me a few weeks, but I'm finally a wii tennis pro!! The two cheeky feckers chosen to do battle with me by the computer were damned tough competition though... They know who's the boss now though!! ;-)
Whilst it is still a horribly addictive piece of kit, the most amount of fun comes from watching people playing it...
Just arrived back home from a brief visit to the moblog meetup in Birmingham... Sorry in advance to people who I can't remember meeting (I have a memory like a goldfish!)... but there was Essitam, James, Rik, Rik's son, filbertfox and a few others... all pleasant one and all... Should be a fun evening!
