Welcome... to my very own, yet most likely undiscovered, part of the world wide web.

Featuring photos of my travels, my friends and the wierd, wonderful and downright random, everyone else has got one, so why shouldn't I?

Hey, thanks for dropping by... enjoy.

Around the home

(viewed 1152 times)
Here's the comparison. Just standard shots, aperture priority on two of the shots. Camera phones are handy - I like them. But I've become increasingly annoyed by "it's all about megapixels" when lenses make all the difference in the world. I think I'm going mad - I'm giving up smoking too which is not helping my sanity at present.

Trying out my new N96

So, having neglected Moblog for so long in favour of Flickr and other assorted web based things, I'm back with a new phone. I wanted to see just how good a camera a 5MP camera phone can be. Just on Auto, these are ok but nothing special. I will upload from my 4MP Nikon D40 shortly with a comparison. I'm ill and I'm bored you understand.

Floods

(viewed 925 times)
Pulled over and took these cheeky shots of the floods in Worcestershire today. They don't do it anywhere near enough justice. They are awful. You really can't tell when the river ends and where the fields are supposed to be. Yet ANOTHER occasion when I wished I had my proper camera - as disruptive and awful as this flooding is, they make for fantastic photos. Another contradiction in emotions.

Cardiacs - Stoke on Trent

(viewed 1702 times)
The Cardiacs were on top form on their UK winter tour. With a newly expanded lineup featuring "the choir" they played a stonking collection of songs across their career - it's bloody nice knowing they are getting better and better with age! Can't wait for the new album!

Walsall Illuminations (well, sort of)

(viewed 2194 times)
A nifty visit with friends to see the "famous" Walsall Illuminations, in honour of Catherine's birthday!

Well, my camera phone is ageing, so I wasn't able to get any really useable shots of the "best in light entertainment" (geddit??!) but I did manage to get a cheeky shot of the entrance walkway - pretty cool, and also my friend Steve (who never ever poses) to recreate the ipod advert.

Happy Birthday Catherine!!

The Eden Project

Part of our break to Cornwall included a fantastic day at The Eden Project. What an amazing place. Truly humbling. The history of this place is amazing. One man's dream turned in to evolving reality. Wished I'd taken my proper camera - will return and do so.

Pictures from Cornwall

Just returned from a nice break in Cornwall... here are some shots. Spent the first day in Bude and Boscastle - which are just beautiful.
