It's amazing how quickly the sky changes: one second I'm watching The Simpsons (terribly animated 2nd season episode), the next the sunset's exploded into a violent red splatter above the stableblock. These pictures really don't do it justice - the colour extended much further out, tinting the whole landscape.

And now it's night.
