Presenting lighting, theatre and weather: formerly from the hills of Yorkshire, with bits and pieces of the Yorkshire Sculpture Park and trips to Edinburgh; when the music stops, where will neel end up?

Underground

(viewed 552 times)
The new gallery: it'll look prettier once the grass grows and they get rid of the little fences. It's profile is so low it's no wonder that I had no idea it was being built - the formal hedges completely conceal it.

This is the staircase leading from the visitor centre down to the new underground gallery. It's not open yet.

The YSP's gone and added lots of new bits while I was looking the other way: a new underground gallery is nearing completion and there are a few little galleries placed around the old wall of the formal garden - I knew they'd removed the old exhibition space that used to be there, but I'd no idea there was such an extensive development underway.

Playground by Greyworld

This is a sound installation that lives in the Sculpture Park. When it's working, walking/jumping on the planks generates music. Kids love it.
