I simply place my soul
In his fingertips
To touch,
Not to grip,
But enough that I can take this acid trip
Around the universe
And feel like heavenly bodies
When our illusionary love peaks.
The stars seem to speak
To our midnight mix of passion and pretend
That reeks of the knowledge
That when this ends,
I’ll be dejected and cast away
Since in a thesaurus
‘Like’ and ‘Love’
