Hopefully we'll have a Lady Bug invasion again this year. We saw these when we were out wandering around on sunday.

I put this into the crock pot thursday evening. I cooked them on medium and low for 2 days. Then on high today. The seasoning is some kind of cross between a soup and baked beans. The end result was very complex and i served it with greek yogurt and croutons. It was very lovely.

Making my own cheese. First is the curds and whey stage which looks gross. Then the separated curds ready to be salted. Then the pressing to get the rest of the liquid out and turn it into cheese.

You can see the chipolte chilli there on the top with the chorizo. The left over pork from saturday is cut up and in there too but it's hiding under the cabbage. That cooked for about 6 hours in the crock pot and was so yummy.

I don't normally go for pork loin but this one called out to me. I made a red wine sauce with the roasting tray drippings. Boy was it yummy. And i've got some for my lunch next week.

I wanted to make small pies of some sort. So i bought some buffalo mince and went to it. May seem a little odd to choose buffalo, but it's what struck my fancy. They turned out really well and tasted lovely. Although my first foray into hot water pastry have me a little trouble.
