Tim's Travelling Adventures

by Penfold

user profile | dashboard | imagewall | Penfold maps

Well, this started out as a way that my wife could follow my lone progress in my little sports car from Birmingham UK to Orkney.

Been there, done that 2 day there, 13hour return trip.

So now follow me: an Englishman representing Americans and based in a French office near Paris. With an appartment in Versailles and trips back to the UK anything can happen and, frankly, I've no idea where this will lead!

Fetes des Associations

(viewed 493 times)
Here's a good idea: Block off the road immediately in front of the Chateau
and give every association in Versailles a tent. Gives us locals the chance
to see what clubs and societies are available for us in our region.

My Brother and Sister-in-Law can to stay this weekend thanks to the ease of the Eurostar train (under 2 1/2 hours London to Paris!).

And when my Bruv and Sis-I-L are here, cakes are the order of the day (the more variety the better!).

2CV parked against an old wooden building just underneath a "No Parking"

Near Le Havre

(viewed 489 times)
The north coast of France is full of pretty harbours and villages. Lots of
apples too, so plenty of Cider and Calvados (Apple Brandy).

Went to Honfleur for the weekend before last. I might be working in Le Havre
before the end of the year, so this is an option for a place to live when we
get there. Beautiful harbour town, very full of tourists in the summer...
Loads of English cars and people....

Sharon becomes French.

Cycling in Versailles..., with a baguette. I think we can safely say that
Sharon is embracing French life. :)

(viewed 461 times)
Why do we need 4x4s in an urban environment? Easy - more parking
