Well, this started out as a way that my wife could follow my lone progress in my little sports car from Birmingham UK to Orkney.
Been there, done that 2 day there, 13hour return trip.
So now follow me: an Englishman representing Americans and based in a French office near Paris. With an appartment in Versailles and trips back to the UK anything can happen and, frankly, I've no idea where this will lead!

Went to the Model Show today at the Port de Versailles (Same place as the
Boat Show (Salon Nautique) and the Wine Show). Indoor flying arena, indoor
sail boat area (with fans) and anything you might consider to be models,
from Remote Control planes, robots and Lego stuff through to toy soldiers
and dolls houses.

Did anyone know that there's a museum INSIDE the Arc de Triomphe? I didn't.
Sooooo many steps though.

My boss came over from Baltimore for a single day. He flew in Thursday
morning and flew back Friday morning. That gave us Thursday night to show
him some of Paris.

Ok, I've discovered something about French carwashes. In the UK you drive to the edge of the machine, type a code or put in a token and drive into the machine. When you stop, it starts. In France, you park your car IN the machine, get out and go put the token in.
If you try to do it the British way the machine starts without you and gets stuck when it cant find a car. That's the picture of the machine empty. The one with the car just goes to prove that it works when you read the instructions. Doh!

Yep, it's the tow-car. For the non-Brits amoungst you this is the outside (and therefore fastest) lane of the English M6 Motorway. The tow-hook appears to have broken and the trailer found a not so quiet place to stop.
Nice Mk1 Ford Capri though.

Yes, i'm here again. Two weekends running. This is new though and not too welcome. Normally I walk straight to checkin. Still, at least it let me send this mail while i'm waiting.

A brief rest is taken to pose for a group shot in the factory. We're all
customers, from left to right: Me (British), Jean-Paul (Quebecois,
Montreal), Christian (Quebecois, Montreal).
