spent the weekend in brighton with my old friends guigs and zoe and the kids. george is 4 now and bundles of fun. little brother morris is 10 weeks now but as he was (like george) an early arrival he's just about new-born size now.
lovely weekend but man, after one night of only two hours sleep at a time and constant charging round after george i was wiped out. i have no idea how they cope with that for months and years.
giant comedy sized hats off to the loveliest mum and dad i know. x.

tourist taking pictures in front of the wall.
bizarre seeing it up close like that. fairly boggles the mind. how it was ever allowed to happen. almost enough to make you have faith in the modern world. almost.
was also slightly impressed by flower's ability to operate a camera in full arctic gear.

they're only allowed fireworks on one night of the year and they treat them like party poppers. it's genuinely terrifying. at first. then exhilariting. then euphoric. great night. great city. now vying for a top 3 place in the "cities i want to live in" list in my head.
i'm swimming 5k for the marie curie swimathon. will post the link if you want to sponsor me soon. it's not till april though. which is a good thing as i've apparently developed "swimmer's shoulder" from over training and am in considerable discomfort right now. nope, i'd never heard of it before either. it frikken hurts though i can tell you.
