The other day a couple of dogs decided to leave home and explore the outside
world, and they crossed the busy street and ended up at work while we tried
to find the owners. As it turned out, the owners of these two pugs lived
just down the street, and they came to pick them up. But for about an hour,
almost nothing got done. :)

broadband at last!

(viewed 528 times)
Yeah, I know it's the back of the modem. :P But DSL has been a long time coming, and I didn't want to jinx it by moving the modem once I had it working. I was supposed to get it Friday, but there were phone problems, including no main phone at all most of yesterday.

And it's so fast!

Yes, I do own a skirt...

Went to a dance last night. I don't usually go dancing, since I have the
proverbial two left feet, and I don't usually go anywhere dressy. So
this was a bit out of my usual comfort zone, but I had a great time.

Yeah, we haven't had enough snow yet, so more thundersnow this morning,
and up to a foot of snow before it's over. I didn't go to work today.
Had considered going and taking the camera, but face it--I'm chicken.

more snow

Just a few more pictures from the storm. Two are the courtyard in my
apartment building--if anything had been shoveled during the night, it
got covered right back up. The other is a shot of the side street, which
had been plowed a bit. By next weekend it's supposed to be back in the
upper 40s F... maybe.

winter storm!

(viewed 535 times)
It's still snowing here, though not as much. These pictures were taken a
little after 6 a.m. We received at least five inches in a very short
time--even some thundersnow.

It's 10 degrees F. That's as warm as it's going to get today. I hope no one stands under that icicle when it falls--it might hurt a little.
