Gillott Road with TV crews, how glamorous

(viewed 723 times)
This is just off one side of Gillott Road as you walk up to the Hagley Road - looks like the BBC are filming an ep of one of their home improvement shows (I remember seeing a whiteboard full of addresses when I was on the BBC Birmingham trip)... Fun fun fun.Theres a cracking big generator in the back of that lorry too, you can't see it but I could hear it down the road!

That looks expensive

Another likely victim of out-of-control cars following last week's snowfall :/ amazing how many people don't know the two golden rules of snow driving:

1) use as high a gear as possible and EASE ON the power and brakes,

Oh well :D

Storm's a-brewin'

Cloudy cloudy cloud clouds! BBC forecast snow this morning but all I've seen is frost :( I did almost go flying on a patch of ice when I stepped out of my front door, though.

Money comes in, money goes out

(viewed 553 times)
Got the latest instalment of my student loan through today. So, out goes ?104 for the next term's bus pass.Though, given that a single adult ticket is ?1.40 (up from ?1.20 last year, and ?1.10 before that same year's price rise) it seems to be becoming even better value - especially when I make at least two bus trips a day.And so the prices rise once more...

A quick walk a day keeps death's knell away

If the government says it, it must be true!Tell you what though, I walk at least 2 miles daily, and my calf muscles are becoming formidable! And I'm the laziest person I know ;)

Anyone around here speak Dutch?

(viewed 724 times)
Ok, so I've had this t-shirt for a while, when my mum came back from Holland with it once upon a time. I know it's rude (I think, that's what she was told when she bought it), and I asked a Dutch speaker what it meant once - and they told me - but I forgot.BabelFish can't make head nor tail of it, probably as I'm not typing it in with accents. Is there anyone around here who can translate this shirt? Comments welcomed :D

As the great James Brown once said, ain't it funky! Almost a shame to rip it all off... But I will anyway. :D
