We were a bit late going for our walk on the beach this evening and it was getting dark. I love walking on the beach at dusk, though, especially when the beach is deserted, the wind is picking up, storm clouds are gathering and the tide is on the turn, creeping up the freshly wave-washed sand.
Not quite so serene on the Boating Lake today, though.
Continuing the bird theme...
The Knap Boating Lake in Barry has been colonised by swans. Took these shots this evening on our way back from the beach.
I took this shot on the beach Sunday evening. There wasn't much light but it's so rare for Tim to have a full-out sprint these days I had to try to get a shot. I was hoping that the flash would freeze his movement, but he was just moving too fast. At first I rejected it because it wasn't sharp, but on second thoughts the blurriness possibly adds to the sense of speed. Not sure about that...
Took my camera this morning and managed to get these shots of a dive-bombing seagull. It swooped down from one of those chimneys in the background of the top shot. Seems to be having fun, doesn't it?
On the Breakwater, Old Harbour, Barry
1) Tim on the Breakwater (cameraphone)
2) Fearlessly climbing the steps (cameraphone)
3&4) Sunset shots from the Old Harbour (Casio Exilim)
5) Glad to be back in the car (cameraphone)
Seagulls have started to nest in the chimney pots of Barry and so begins the aerial assault of dive-bombing. This one just missed my head and I just missed capturing it on my cameraphone. Hopefully I'll shoot one properly soon (as in photo, of course, however much I'd like it to be the other kind).

I had a driving job today at the Millennium Stadium, driving for Kasabian. And as a bonus I get to watch Oasis.
