Now I lay(with everywhere around)
me(the great dim deep sound
of rain;and of always and of nowhere)and
what a gently welcoming darkestness--

now I lay me down(in a most steep
more than music)feeling that sunlight is
(life and day are)only loaned:whereas
night is given(night and death and the rain
are given;and given is how beautifully snow)

now I lay me down to dream of(nothing
i or any somebody or you
can begin to begin to imagine)

something which nobody may keep.
now I lay me down to dream of Spring

Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible without surrender
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even the dull and the ignorant;
they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons,
they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others,
you may become vain and bitter;
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.

Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs;
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals;
and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself.
Especially, do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love;
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment
it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.

You are a child of the universe,
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be,
and whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful.
Strive to be happy.

Sticking feathers up your butt does not make you a chicken

We held hands on the last night on earth. Our mouths filled with dust, we kissed in the fields and under trees, screaming like dogs, bleeding dark into the leaves. It was empty on the edge of town but we knew everyone floated along the bottom of the river. So we walked through the waste where the road curved into the sea and the shattered seasons lay, and the bitter smell of burning was on you like a disease. In our cancer of passion you said, "Death is a midnight runner." The sky had come crashing down like the news of an intimate suicide. We picked up the shards and formed them into shapes of stars that wore like an antique wedding dress. The echoes of the past broke the hearts of the unborn as the ferris wheel silently slowed to a stop. The few insects skittered away in hopes of a better pastime. I kissed you at the apex of the maelstrom and asked if you would accompany me in a quick fall, but you made me realize that my ticket wasn't good for two. I rode alone. You said, "The cinders are falling like snow." There is poetry in despair, and we sang with unrivaled beauty, bitter elegies of savagery and eloquence. Of blue and grey. Strange, we ran down desperate streets and carved our names in the flesh of the city. The sun has stagnated somewhere beyond the rim of the horizon and the darkness is a mystery of curves and lines. Still, we lay under the emptiness and drifted slowly outward, and somewhere in the wilderness we found salvation scratched into the earth like a message.

Roses are #FF0000
Violets are #0000FF
All my base
Are belong to you

Beyond watching eyes,
With sweet and tender kisses,
Our souls reached out to
each other,
In breathless wonder,

And when I awoke,
From a vast and smiling peace,
I found you bathed in morning light,
Quietly studying,
All the messages on my phone.

Only when the last tree has been cut down,
And the last river has dried to a trickle,
Will man finally realise,
That we cannot eat money,
And reciting old proverbs,
Makes you sound like a twat.

Once upon a time there was a Bear and a Bee who lived in a wood and were the best of friends. All summer long the Bee collected nectar from the morning to the night while the Bear lay on his back basking in the long grass.

When winter came the Bear realised that he had nothing to eat and thought to himself " I hope that busy little Bee will share some of his honey with me". But the Bee was nowhere to be found - he had died of a stress induced coronary disease.

Birthday Meal

Tonight we went for a meal at Thailand No 1 as it was the brothers 18th (4th shot)last week and the others 21st (3rd shot plus lovely gf Oli) next week, ppfff I feel old!

I had Pak Tord:mixed vegetables, deep fried in a light batter served with sweet chilli sauce, followed by Hed Pad Himmaparn: Mushrooms & cashew nuts stir fried in exotic tamarind sauce served in a crispy potato baske.
The food was amazing and they have a whole section of the menu and starters just for veggie dishes which was even better!

If you are ever in Lincoln you really should pay it a visit- they even do take-away and a lunch menu - plus its right in the middle of the Bailgate with the castle and cathedral a mere minutes walk down the road.
Yummy Yummy Yummy!!!!

Roll the windows down this cool night air is curious

Not the best quality but it was off my phone!

AMAZING gig last night. We ended up 3 rows from the front with a great view of the stage and Chino, that guy truely has one of the greatest voice ever.

They played a really great mixture loads of the old classics : My Own Summer, Change, 7 Words, Korea, Be Quiet & Drive. Paul got the set list so hopefully he'll post it.

And best of all they play one of my all time favourite songs (by any band) Passenger - which I never thought in a million years I'd get to see live shame there was no Maynard but aaahhh Im so so happy :D

Hes the brothers - girlfriends - nextdoor neighbours hamster.
Shes looking after it while they are on holiday - now shes gone away so we have him!
I think I shall keep him as hes the most tame and friendliest hamster ever, probably the fastest hence the blurs. Anyway its only fair, he'd get confused moving again and stuff :D
