2 days to go...

Today has not been productive!

I only got dressed to get the beers I'd left in the car.

Not my best ever Sunday.

Sri Lankan Magician

(viewed 1314 times)
Had the fortune of seeing Muralitharan bowl when Sri Lanka played Derbyshire in a warm up match before they played England in the Spring. Never posted them before but seeing as how Sangakkara and Jayawardene have today set a world record partnership of 624 against South Africa I thought I'd put them up.

Murali has to be one of my favourite players so well done to him for being great and well done to Sri Lanka for doing so well today. Lets hope Murali can weave some more of his magic when bowling tomorrow.

Making Soup

Ok, it seems (through trial and error ) that I can post no more than 10 pictures so 2 have had to go. But anyways.....

1. Planting the seeds in trays (early April).
2. Keeping them covered up.
3. Homemade capillary tray keeping them watered whilst away over Easter. Ok, its just a towel shoved in a sink full of water, but capillary tray sounds sooo much better!
4. And we are off!
5. Thinning out some of the smaller seedlings (did not make the final cut!).
6. And separately potting the better ones.
7. An actual coriander plant!
8. A bit of pruning and we are ready to chop.
9. Roasting the carrots and sweet potatoes.
10. On the hob - another one that sadly hasnt made the final 10 :(
11. Home grown coriander (yay!) added to my blended soup.
12. The end :)

Nice arse... shame about the face.

I'd love to say my sister could show me how to make a balloon animal but I think it's safe to say that after our first attempts neither of us look cut out for life in the circus!! Unless I can learn to ride a unicycle or get over my fear of heights that is.

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

The Good?

The car got through another MOT last weekend. 16 years young!

The Bad?

Some gits broke into the car this weekend and stole my stereo (which was by far the best part of the car). In the 4th picture down you can see my comedy glove box which I would like to think the thieves could not work out how to open because all my CDs were still in it. They were nice enough to only break the small window at the back but it still made a lot of mess.

The Ugly?

No one call my car ugly!

Weird, weird flower

(viewed 670 times)
Took these pictures on succesive days of this very odd flower. It's basically like very tightly balled pieces of string that open out into this incredible flower.

1. Wednesday
2. Thursday
3. Friday (today)
4. Taken Thursday on low res with my digital camera because my phone is so so rubbish!

It was really cool, the 'balls of string' had been closed tight for ages with nothing happening but then on Tuesday they started to open a little so I thought I'd take this series - wasn't expecting it all to be over so quickly!
