Woot... My 'Teg's Back!

(viewed 1437 times)
If you go back to my earlier posts, you'll know that I got completely
shafted by the wife, when she made me part ex my beloved 'teg for her
Alfa. Well now I think that it was worth it... She agreed to let me go
out and pick a new car...
Yep... It had to be another Integra...
The good thing is.. that Annalise won't drive it :-)
She says it's too small, boring, too noisy, looks like the Mitsubishi
Lancer, and doesn't even have a clock :-p
Well that's women for you! - at least she didn't moan about the colour

Stained Glass Patterns

(viewed 18310 times)
Today I was asked to go and take a couple of photos of the ornaments in
the School Chapel. What really caught my eye though was the colours
created by the bright winter sun pouring through the stained glass
windows in the small "prayer chapel".
Unfortunately I didn't have the DSLR available, so heres a couple of
shots taken with a small compact camera.

Annalise's Sparkles

(viewed 1413 times)
Annalise has bought some twiggy things with fairy lights on them...
More decorative junk in the house, but at least it gives me something
to try out my new starburst filter

Kidz n' Technology

Today I've been busy photographing the kids using technology to learn...
and learning myself about the technology that they're now using in
Quite impressive... Like the GPS System that let's them design a garden
layout, and then use a portable PC to go off and explore it.
Smart whiteboards that capture stuff right into the PC or let you
control the computer from the whiteboard...
It's pretty neat......
Just a shame that kids don't have the pleasure of running their
fingernails down a blackboard anymore! :-)

Today I'm Bagpuss

If any one has heard of Bagpuss, they will know how I feel today.

This morning I arrived at work, and there was an old looking and dusty
box on my desk.... "the story of Western Australia"

On it was an anonymous post it note, asking if there was anyway that
the contents could be cleaned up and made into a podcast?

Opening the box I found six little containers, and 3 audio
cassettes.... Each container had a strip of transparent film, containing
about 60 images each, So I've set about digitizing all the little
clips... So far I only have the first episode "The Visitors" digitized.

Anyway about 3 hours after I got into work, the anonymous "post it
noter" came to see if the podcasts were all ready!!! :o) (Yeah
right).. they explained that they'd found them at the back of a
cupboard, and they were used for teaching history in about 1975 - Of
course no one was able to find a projector to show the little films.

I've set about cleaning up the negatives, and there are some great
little cartoons in this lot.... some of them definitely need humourous
captions attaching!! (please feel free!)

Tomorrow I'll be digitizing the audio for the first episode and then
trying to match the audio with the little cartoons. - Oh the fun!

In the words of the mice on the mouse organ..... "We will fix it... we
will mend it"

Jolly Hockey Sticks!

(viewed 1311 times)
Today I've mostly been photographing the interhouse hockey tournament.

Christening the Boats

(viewed 1500 times)
Saturday morning was spent down at the riverside again.
Two of the schools new rowing boats were being christened, and I was
there for the free hotdogs... oh, and to take a few snapshots of the
event :-)

Big and Juicy??

(viewed 1349 times)
How did the designers get this past marketing?
What does BJ stand for?
Am I just filthy minded?I just had to take a piccy of the carton that the melons arrived in
today :-)
I love melons.... they are big and juicy! ;o)
